Privacy Policy
Overview
Thermal State is designed with privacy in mind.
The app collects a small amount of privacy-preserving usage data to help us understand how Thermal State is used and improve the app. This data is not designed to identify you personally.
Thermal State does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites, show advertising, sell your data, or create a profile about you.
This policy applies to the Thermal State app for iPhone and iPad and its widgets, published by Quiet Apps. “We,” “us,” and “our” refer to Quiet Apps.
Information we collect
Thermal State uses TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service, to collect limited information about how the app is used.
The analytics information sent to TelemetryDeck may include:
- An anonymized identifier associated with your installation of Thermal State. This identifier remains consistent for that installation but is not designed to identify you personally.
- Actions taken in the app, such as opening Thermal State or changing a setting.
- The approximate time of an action, rounded to the nearest hour.
- Basic technical information, such as your iOS or iPadOS version, Thermal State app version and build number, device model, and whether the app was installed through the App Store or TestFlight.
Thermal State does not have user accounts or require you to sign in.
We do not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, photos, advertising identifier, or other information that directly identifies you.
TelemetryDeck states that it does not store IP addresses.
Device readings
Thermal State displays information provided by your device, including its thermal state and other device readings that may include battery level, memory, storage, and uptime.
These readings are processed on your device. Thermal State does not send these device readings to Quiet Apps or TelemetryDeck.
How we use analytics
We use analytics information only to understand how Thermal State is being used and to improve the app.
For example, analytics may help us understand:
- Which features and settings are used.
- Which versions of iOS and iPadOS are in use.
- Which device models are running Thermal State.
- Whether particular parts of the app are being used as expected.
We do not use this information for advertising, individualized profiling, or tracking you across other apps or websites.
TelemetryDeck
Thermal State uses TelemetryDeck GmbH, based in Augsburg, Germany, as its analytics provider.
TelemetryDeck is designed to collect privacy-preserving app analytics. According to TelemetryDeck:
- Installation identifiers are anonymized before they are transmitted.
- It does not store IP addresses.
- It does not use cookies for app analytics.
- It does not use Thermal State data for cross-app tracking.
- Its analytics infrastructure is hosted in the European Union.
TelemetryDeck processes and retains analytics information according to its own privacy and data-retention practices.

In-app purchases
Thermal State may offer optional in-app purchases, such as tips.
Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Quiet Apps does not receive or store your payment card information.
Apple may provide developers with transaction information necessary to operate App Store purchases, as well as aggregated App Store and app-usage statistics. Apple’s handling of information is governed by Apple’s own privacy policies.
Tracking and advertising
Thermal State does not track you across other companies’ apps, websites, or offline properties.
Thermal State:
- Contains no advertising.
- Does not use your device’s advertising identifier.
- Does not share analytics information with advertisers.
- Does not share information with data brokers.
- Does not sell or rent your information.
Thermal State does not use Apple’s App Tracking Transparency permission because the app does not engage in tracking as defined by Apple.
Data linked to you
The analytics information collected through Thermal State is not linked to your identity.
For purposes of Apple’s App Store privacy disclosures, Thermal State collects limited Device ID and Product Interaction information for analytics. This information is disclosed as Data Not Linked to You and is not used for tracking.
Data retention and deletion
Analytics information sent through Thermal State is retained by TelemetryDeck according to TelemetryDeck’s own data-retention practices.
Because the analytics information is anonymized and is not associated with a Quiet Apps account, name, email address, or other personally identifying information, Quiet Apps cannot identify or retrieve analytics records belonging to a particular person.
Uninstalling Thermal State stops future analytics information from being sent by that installation and removes information and settings stored locally by the app.
Thermal State does not maintain a user account or personal profile requiring deletion.

Children’s privacy
Thermal State is a general-audience utility and is not specifically designed for children.
We do not knowingly collect information that directly identifies users of any age. The privacy-preserving analytics described in this policy operate in the same manner for all users.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy if Thermal State’s features, analytics practices, or other data practices change.
When we do, we will update the effective date shown at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how Thermal State handles user information, we will provide appropriate notice.
